Understanding Comes First.
Students often arrive believing they are simply “bad at math.” Usually, the real problem is a collection of missed skills, rushed instruction or explanations that never connected.
We slow down enough to find the real issue, teach it clearly and give students guided opportunities to succeed. As understanding grows, frustration begins to ease—and students start seeing themselves differently.

Expert teaching—with a deeply personal purpose.
Ms. Khan founded Knowledge Works Academy after seeing how much a student can change when they finally feel understood, supported and capable.
A certified mathematics educator, she brings more than 10 years of K–12 tutoring experience and over five years of public-school classroom teaching to the academy. Her experience also includes serving as Math Department Chair, mentoring teachers, coaching students in regional math competitions and teaching internationally in India.
