Hello
Welcome to Knowledge Works Academy!
I’m Ms. Khan, the founder and lead instructor. I started this academy because I’ve seen how much a student can change when they finally feel understood and supported. For me, teaching has never just been about grades — it’s about helping kids feel capable again, watching them build confidence, and seeing that spark of pride when things start to make sense. Every parent deserves to see that in their child, and that’s what keeps me doing what I love every single day.
Our Team
My Story
Teaching has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Even in high school, friends would come to me before a test because they knew I could explain things in a way that made sense. I loved those moments and the look on their faces when something finally clicked. That feeling stayed with me.
It led me to continue studying mathematics and education, where I graduated with top honors and spent years working with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. I also began tutoring during this time, a journey that has now grown into more than ten years of experience supporting students one-on-one and in small groups. Those early experiences showed me how different every learner is and how important it is to meet students where they are instead of forcing them into one way of learning.
After completing my studies, I began teaching middle school math in Georgia public schools. A few years into my career, I sought out a global experience and spent several months teaching in India, working with students from diverse backgrounds and ability levels. When I returned home, I continued teaching in Georgia, where I now have over five years of classroom experience, teach middle school math, and serve in a leadership role within my department. I have also mentored new teachers and supported students who have gone on to succeed in regional competitions.
What matters most to me isn’t a title. It’s the moment a student stops saying, “I can’t,” and starts believing they can.
Knowledge Works Academy is an extension of that purpose. It is a place built on genuine teaching, real connection, and a commitment to helping students grow in both skill and confidence.
